![]() ![]() Initialisation of the configurationįor a first start of a project create the file that the project parameters shall be stored in. We do that only to help ourselves the BOINC code will not use it. To help working consistently on multiple shells, or to get the settings when logging in again, we need a place to redirect the parameters of the project configuration. ![]() This allows us to use mostly self-explanatory variables to help your local adaptation. ![]() In the following we will work on a single BASH shell. The following needs to be performed for every project, with or without the Debian BOINC server package. The BOINC server as compiled from the BOINC sources does not perform directly. See BOINC/Server/Projects for current (early) attempts. The boinc-server-maker package described on this page would then become a build dependency for the project. One could (in principle) prepare Debian packages for such project specific configurations. That should be applied only once for every project and then for updates of the BOINC server sources. The preparation of the final project from the BOINC server template is a manual process. The second is that developments of BOINC Server and Client sides are not always stable at the same time, thus having the server in experimental grants us some extra flexibility. ![]() A first is that we do not have any particular routine in setting those servers up. We ship the package in the experimental section for two reasons. If our packaging we have done the right way, then this tutorial is of value for you because of the complete identity of all downstream steps. The compilation of the upstream source tree is nothing like magic. Sudo apt-get install -t experimental boinc-server-makerĬd boinc ./_autosetup ./configure -disable-client -disable-manager make Install boinc-server-maker package just like any other: Make sure that your source list is up-to-date: Make sure that the experimental repository is in /etc/apt/sources.list: Libtool automake autoconf pkg-config libmysql -dev libssl-dev Mysql-server php5-gd php5-cli php5-mysql python-mysqldb \ Sudo apt-get install git build-essential apache2 php5 \ This section first explains the installation of the BOINC server template sources from the source tree and then the same for those using the Debian boinc-server-maker package. We suggest the following, your local admins may have different ideas - talk back to us: sudo adduser -system -group boincadm -no-create-homeġ.2.
